The smells, sights, and sounds of scrabbling in the bucket for your bait, casting your line, the excitement when you caught something, anything.Old fashioned vintage minnow pails can be used for more than just minnows, too. They make excellent planters for garden or patio, creating both a home for your plants or flowers and an interesting conversation piece. You can easily drill a few holes in the bottom or near the bottom for drainage, if needed, and line the inside with newspaper to keep the soil from draining out.
Minnow buckets can also be used as luminaries with candles inside — simply place them on your porch, deck, along walkways, or on stairs. You can place some sand inside to hold the candles in place and keep them from getting blown over.
